About this role
Maintain safety awareness and comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures to assure a safe working environment. Demonstrate commitment to Tri-State’s culture of technical competency, respect, accountability, integrity, and servant leadership. Understand and fulfill compliance programs including CIP, NERC, and WECC standards.
Provide technical engineering support to Craig Station functional areas as assigned. Perform and coordinate engineering analyses for numerous and diverse plant electrical systems. Offer technical direction to other Tri-State groups and individuals.
Provide unit outage technical support including scope of work, inspections, and oversight to contractors and station personnel. Troubleshoot Operations and Maintenance issues in electrical, instrumentation, and controls. Assist in developing O and M budgets and capital projects.
Participate in evaluation and selection of consulting firms and contractors, coordinating and monitoring their work. Assist with performance testing of plant equipment and updating operational procedures. Complete special projects and reports as assigned in this energy infrastructure environment.
Requirements
- Maintain safety awareness, properly wear safety gear, and comply with Clearance Procedure
- Identify and communicate unsafe conditions and assist in resolving safety issues
- Demonstrate technical competency and promote ethics consistent with company culture and policies
- Ensure adherence to CIP, WECC, FERC, NERC, MRO standards, and EEO regulations
- Ability to think ahead, plan within timelines, develop scopes, and set priorities
- Willingness to work above and beyond the standard 40-hour workweek during emergencies
- Knowledge of plant electrical systems, instrumentation, and controls for troubleshooting and analysis
- Experience coordinating capital projects, technical specifications, and bid packages in power generation
