Plan and execute a diverse range of geotechnical projects. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary professionals to manage engineering projects. Play a pivotal role in mentoring other engineers and project management.
Work alongside clients to take on critical problems in remote locations and global projects. Apply deep technical knowledge and real-world experience to improve mining systems. Domestic and international travel required for mine site visits and meetings.

Requirements
- Bachelor of science or master of science degree in geotechnical/geological engineering, mechanical, civil or related discipline from ABET-accredited institution
- 10-15 years of experience in field work related to rock mechanics
- Strong client relationships and ability to support business development efforts
- Professional licensure or ability to achieve professional licensure
- Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Certification
- Practical experience reviewing measured data to identify abnormal trends indicative of instability
- Experience conducting field assessments to identify ground-control hazards
- Strong project management skills and experience
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute diverse range of geotechnical projects

- Review measured data to identify abnormal trends indicative of instability
- Conduct field assessments to identify ground-control hazards and potential instabilities
- Apply experience with ground-support systems to contain and support loose rock
- Utilize familiarity with contact and formation grouting techniques to control water inflows
- Travel domestically and internationally to client mine sites
