Requirements
- At least 1 year experience operating heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, rollers, and off-road trucks
- Sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
- Ability to follow direction
- Sharp decision-making skills, particularly under pressure
- Ability to work extended hours as required
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- GPS knowledge preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with excellent vision and manual dexterity
Responsibilities
- Maneuver motorized heavy equipment for accurate removal and placement of materials
- Load and offload rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment
- Observe all stipulated safety codes at all times
- Communicate with coworkers to clarify project specifications as needed
- Report injuries and accidents to the site manager
- Advise site manager on necessary upgrades, repairs, and replacements
- Aid coworkers to ensure site is clean and organized at end of each shift
- Perform additional duties as required
