About this role
Take your skills on the road with the support behind you as a Field Service Technician in the Earthmoving Division. Bring your expertise directly to customer sites, working independently on advanced Caterpillar heavy equipment. Enjoy steady, year-round work in a union position with industry-leading pay based on experience.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment on-site, repairing engines, hydraulics, electrical, and mechanical systems. Perform maintenance, rebuilds, and component overhauls while inspecting equipment and completing service reports. Manage your service calls with a well-equipped service truck and tools provided.
Work with independence in the field but never alone, backed by experienced service managers, supervisors, parts, and shop teams. Collaborate across departments to keep moving, supported by a long-tenured workforce at a stable, privately held company growing since 1960.
Access industry-leading training from 6 dedicated full-time trainers, with ongoing hands-on and classroom development to stay current with CAT technology. Follow clear paths to advance and specialize, including paid training from day one and tuition reimbursement after one year.
Requirements
- 3+ years of heavy equipment or diesel technician experience
- Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical, and drivetrains
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting ability in the field
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload
- Basic computer skills for service systems and documentation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate a service truck and travel to job sites
- Your own tools
