About this role

Komatsu Mining Technology Solutions, a world leader in mining management technology and 100% subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd, seeks a Performance Assurance Mining Engineer for its Lima, Peru office. The role provides practical support to Modular products, focusing on continuous improvement tasks by the Performance Assurance Team. Expect 50% on-site travel to mining operations.

Plan continuous field visits to various clients and prepare biweekly and monthly internal reports plus client updates. Analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and provide site feedback for action plans and corresponding reports. Offer advice on tasks performed with the team during visits.

Undertake 50% on-site travel to major mining operations above 3000 msnm, complying with RISST functions, remote and in-person work recommendations. Use machines, equipment, tools, and transport units correctly while adhering to standards, PETS, and safe work practices. Identify hazards, assess risks, and apply control measures before high-risk activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related fields
  • 3-5 years experience in consulting and/or mining, preferably open pit
  • Experience in short-term planning, topography, dispatch or related areas
  • Experience using IntelliMine products in mining operations (advantage)
  • Use of data analysis tools: Tableau, Power BI, Minitab
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and tools
  • Customer service experience
  • Intermediate level English (oral and written)
