Customers & Products is setting up a business and technology centre in Pune to enhance customer experience, drive innovation, build global capabilities at scale, and develop deep expertise.

The BTC connects colleagues from C&P with other bp functions. We seek a GSC Master Data Manager as senior individual contributor and Lead Data Steward for master data across Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, and Product domains. This hands-on expert ensures ERP transactional fluidity and data consistency.

Provide functional leadership to on- and off-shore Data SMEs, setting priorities, coaching for first-time-right execution, and serving as escalation point for complex issues. Act as interface between Regional Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, ERP teams, and data operations. Own and improve master data SOPs for operational excellence.

Contribute to New Product Introduction and product lifecycle, ensuring accurate master data for attributes, BOM, recipes, logistics, and QC specs. Drive continuous improvement in processes for efficiency and quality. Join this core part of bp during an exciting time.

Requirements

Hands-on expertise in Global Supply Chain master data across Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, and Product domains
Proven ability to ensure ERP transactional fluidity, data consistency, and operational reliability
Experience applying approved data standards, definitions, dependencies, and structures
Strong coordination of on-shore and off-shore Data SMEs for data creation and maintenance
Knowledge of supply chain processes including New Product Introduction and product lifecycle maintenance
Proficiency in developing and embedding high-quality SOPs aligned to process and system changes
Ability to interface with Regional Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain process owners, and ERP configuration teams

Responsibilities

Act as Lead Data Steward for GSC master data, ensuring consistent application of approved data standards, definitions, dependencies and structures
Translate global data standards into clear operational guidance for Data SMEs and transactional teams
Serve as senior escalation point for complex master data issues impacting supply chain execution and reporting
Provide functional leadership and direction to on- and off-shore Data SMEs responsible for master data creation and maintenance
Ensure master data enables smooth, consistent ERP transactions across planning, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement processes
Identify and resolve master data issues that create transactional breaks, rework, or downstream performance degradation
Own, maintain, and continuously improve master data-related SOPs and work instructions
Act as key contributor to NPI process, ensuring timely creation of product attributes, BOM, recipe, logistics master data, and QC specifications
