About this role
Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for Maintenance Planner at Hibbing Taconite in Hibbing, MN. As a Maintenance Planner, you will plan and coordinate all aspects of taking received work orders and developing work plans in assigned area. You will also be responsible for documenting the required work procedures and budgets associated with all performed work plans.
Organize incoming work orders into defined, planned work packages and develop work procedures and scopes using Ellipse system. Identify, specify, and order required contract labor, parts, tooling, and equipment to complete the work plan. Build parts and standard jobs resource library to support efficient planning.
Ensure all department work is performed safely, maintaining work areas to meet or exceed MSHA standards. Promote and encourage teamwork and high-performance standards throughout the department. Communicate and coordinate daily and weekly maintenance plans with all affected parties including supervisors and craftworkers.
Develop short-range and long-range maintenance plans and budgets, ensuring compliance and implementation. Work with planners, supervisors, craftworkers, technicians, and reliability engineers on equipment improvement activities. Update equipment history and component tracking while closing completed work orders.
Requirements
- 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ recent experience at a mining/mineral processing facility or heavy industry, preferably in a unionized environment
- Project experience, including installation and startup
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills such as team building and conflict resolution
- Willingness to promote team concepts and company policies
- Ability to motivate, delegate, establish, and work in a collaborative environment

Benefits
- Salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 based on relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business needs
